Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the EHS management system for the construction project site in Taiwan, ensuring compliance with GE Gas Power and Taiwan regulations;
Support the EHS Manager in monitoring and reporting on EHS performance, including the development and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs);
Support the region database management for the Asia Pole for accurate reporting through GE digital systems such as Gensuite, ComplyWorks, etc;
Maintain accurate EHS records and ensure that all including required permits and licenses are in place and up to date at Taipei HQ;
Provide EHS support to the project team, including incident management, investigation, and reporting, as well as emergency response planning and execution at Taipei HQ;
Occasionally, be involved with EHS inspections, audits, and risk assessments of the project site to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks;
Support in developing EHS trainings and awareness programs for project team members, including contractors and subcontractors, to ensure compliance with EHS policies and procedures;
Participate in the development and review of EHS policies and procedures, and recommend improvements to existing processes to ensure continuous improvement in EHS performance.
Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge of EHS regulations and standards, including those specific to Taiwan, is preferred.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate and work in English and Chinese.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to attend to office 3 days per week at least throughout the internship program
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
