Established in 1987 and headquartered in Taiwan, TSMC pioneered the pure-play foundry business model with an exclusive focus on manufacturing its customers products. Job Responsibilities:
For Engineering Field Related Positions:
1. Equipment Engineer (EE):
In this Equipment Engineer intern role, you will closely learn from professional engineers to plan and execute analysis or defect detection projects. You can also learn how to improve and enhance the efficiency of equipment by communicating with cross-functional engineers or vendors.
2. Process Integration Engineer (PIE):
In this PIE role, you will learn to develop and sustain process technologies for flash memory and logic products. You will also have opportunities to work with a team that may include device, integration, yield, lithography, etch, and thin films, or external suppliers to drive leading-edge integrated module development, control, and improvements.
3. Process Engineer (PE):
During this internship, you will have unique chances to experience working with a team that may include device, integration, yield, module, manufacturing, and external suppliers to drive leading-edge integrated module development, control, and improvements. You will also learn to improve process stability/manufacturability for yield and reliability qualification.
4. Intelligent Manufacturing Engineer (MFG):
During this internship, you will oversee the daily operations of an IC foundry to ensure that all profiling operations, workflow, and customer reports are consistent with agreed-upon service operations. You will also learn to analyze production-related data and provide dynamic strategies to achieve organizational production goals and KPIs.
5. Semiconductor Process R&D:

6. IC Design:
In this IC Design intern role, you will learn how to communicate between TSMC customers and our process technology development team. You will also learn the basics of driving process-design optimization to ensure technology leadership, reducing customers barriers to adopting TSMC technology, and enabling TSMC business through design differentiation.

Job Qualifications:
For Engineering Field-Related Positions:
1. Equipment Engineer (EE):
(1) Bachelor's degree or above in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical and Automation Engineering-related fields.
(2) Have basic mechanical-related knowledge.
(3) Good problem-solving skills, communication ability, team spirit, active learning attitude.
(4) Hands-on participation and a strong sense of ownership.
2. Process Integration Engineer (PIE):
(1) Bachelor's degree or above in an engineering and scientific field such as Materials Science, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry.
(2) Exhibit good and open communication skills; be able to work within cross-functional teams, including internal and external partners.
(3) Hands-on participation and a strong sense of ownership.
3. Process Engineer (PE):
(1) Bachelor's degree or above in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related engineering discipline.
(2) Exhibit good and open communication skills; be able to work within cross-functional teams.
(3) Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills.
(4) Hands-on participation and a strong sense of ownership.
4. Intelligent Manufacturing Engineer (MFG):
(1) Bachelor's degree or above in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Industrial Management, Information Systems, Mechanical and Automation Engineering, Civil Engineering, Applied Mathematics and Statistics, or a related field.
(2) Must be an enthusiastic and dedicated individual with the capability to motivate and lead using a team approach.
(3) Knowledge of semiconductor processes is a plus.
5. Semiconductor Process R&D:
(1) Master's degree or above in Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related science and engineering fields.
(2) Intermediate or above level of communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
(3) Logical thinking, teamwork spirit, and good communication skills.
(4) Positive attitude to confront difficulties and challenges.
(5) Ability to work and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
6. IC Design:
(1) Master's degree or above in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Background.
(2) Intermediate or above level of communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
(3) Logical thinking, teamwork spirit, and good communication skills.
(4) Positive attitude to confront difficulties and challenges.
(5) Ability to work and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
7. Information Technology:
(1) Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics-related fields; similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.
(2) Experience in JavaScript, Java, C#, Python, Kotlin, Rust, or other relevant coding languages is a plus.
(3) Knowledge of IC processes and logistic flow is preferred.
(4) Intermediate to Excellent level of communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
(5) Logical thinking, teamwork spirit, and good communication skills.
(6) Positive attitude to confront difficulties and challenges.
(7) Ability to work and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
8. Quality & Reliability:
(1) Master's degree or above in Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related science and engineering fields.
(2) Background in Statistics or Machine Learning for data analysis and statistics development & application-related roles is a plus.
(3) Intermediate or above level of communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
