JOB DESCRIPTION
As a 3D Scene Artist, you will be responsible for the graphical content of one or multiple basic game levels, ensuring successful integration of your work while ad hering to technical constraints and overall artistic direction.
- Familiarize yourself with game design documents, understanding the environment, objects, atmosphere, story, and style of the levels.
- Create textured buildings and prop elements and integrate them into the levels, participating in setting attributes for each object in the map (e.g., movement, collisions, SFX, sound, etc.). gameplay.
- Assist in estimating work time after evaluating level content with art direction/leads, planning tasks for each level based on priority.
- Communicate closely with modelers to integrate crafted objects and textures into the levels.
- Understand tool installation methods, settings, project file naming systems, and data update processes in the engine.
- Generate files listing and displaying graphical content of the levels (objects, environment, atmosphere, lighting, style, etc.).
- Inspect the quality of the maps post-import into the game, making necessary improvements.
- Promptly respond and rectify feedback issues from the testing department through quick iterations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in at least 1-2 mobile game projects, with knowledge in game modelin g, texture creation, imaging, or any equivalent field.
- Proficiency in 3D software (Maya, 3D Max, Blender, etc.).
- Familiarity with Unity development environment, understanding the characteristics of Unity's PBR rendering pipeline, and concept of LOD in scene construction.
- Deep understanding of overall world design, lighting, textures, etc.
- Strong organizational skills and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to critically improve and enhance own work with strict requirements for final visuals.
- Initiative, creativity, and resourcefulness in finding innovative solutions.
- Interest in dance or music-themed games is a plus.
