Role Overview
Synera Renewable Energy (SRE) is a leading renewable energy developer in Taiwan, with a pipeline of offshore wind projects across Taiwan and other parts of Asia. SRE is a portfolio company of a fund managed by Stonepeak, a US-based infrastructure fund with regional headquarter in Hong Kong.
In the role as the accountant, you will be responsible for all the accounting matters for all the assigned entities under the SRE group. The role will be based in Taipei, Taiwan.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close activities.
- Manage accounting books including journal entries, payment processing, and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and other internal/external financial reports.
- Manage establishment of Project entities and the accounting matters related to those entities.
- Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems and procedures.
- Support various audits and participate in monthly financial reviews as required.

- Experience solving issues as they arise and dealing with multiple variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA is a plus but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting, of which 3 years in house required.
- Good presentation and interpersonal skills with a good command of verbal and written English required.
- Prior experience in closing and reporting for multi-location companies on a consolidated basis is preferred.
- Competency with ERP system is required. SAP or Oracle preferred.
