Acquisition Lead, Asia
The Acquisition Lead, Asia is responsible for driving internal and external lead generation by identifying opportunities, closing capability gaps, and optimizing performance. They work closely with local and regional Distribution teams to understand and meet the specific needs of each market. They will ensure that leads are allocated effectively and in appropriate context, thereby driving utilization by Manulife's salesforce.
In collaboration with the Propositions and Engagement Leads, the incumbent will create effective sales funnels that leverage Manulife's technical capabilities, digital properties, and partners. While most of their mandate is focused on the Buy and Sell journeys, some aspects intersect with the Engage and Service episodes.
Position Responsibilities:
Drive sales through an effective channel mix for internal and external lead sources
Ensure effective allocation with contextual information available through existing nurturing mechanisms and close capability gaps
Ensure Customer Portfolio Management processes support business objectives
Individual Accountabilities
Guide market teams in leveraging available lead sources and optimizing channel mix based on maturity and scale of each business. [Buy/Sell]
Work with Product Owners and the Engagement Lead to drive utilization of targeting mechanisms within Manulife's digital properties.
Drive leads utilization by identifying relevant contextual information to be shared with distributors.
Identify capability gaps throughout the lead-management process and align to strategic programs for resolution.
Leverage local Customer Portfolio Management programs for lead management and ensure they are aligned with business objectives.
Key Shared Accountabilities
Partner with the Engagement Lead, Asia to ensure leads run through consistent nurturing and qualification process regardless of source and meet quality requirements. [Buy/Sell]
Collaborate with regional and local distribution team to ensure effective allocation, utilization, and conversion of leads.
Collaborate with the Engagement and Proposition Leads to ensure the integration of lead funnels, engagement mechanisms, and proposition engines.
Required Qualifications:
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments in multiple markets, with an entrepreneurial team spirit.
Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team comprising of distributers, product managers, and marketers.
Experience in marketing, distribution, or digital solutions in the insurance industry
Commercial acumen and an analytical approach to identifying and evaluating opportunities.
Compelling communication skills: Expresses ideas and shares information clearly and concisely, modifies approach as necessary and conveys compelling messages and builds (rational/emotional) connection with others. Strong Powerpoint and pitch presentation skills. Comfortable communicating with Executives at the most senior levels within the organization.
Influence & Persuasiveness: Moves others towards a position (point of view), with or without authority, by setting expectations, and communicating expertise and a compelling rationale with an enterprise-wide mindset.
Knowing the Business: Stays current on Manulife's strategy, key priorities, capabilities, and resources appropriately translates knowledge of the industry, customer and business into new approaches and solutions.
