Administrative Assistant II (Research and RPg Administration) in the Faculty of Arts (Ref.: 530272) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor's degree, preferably also a higher degree in arts and humanities discipline. They should have at least 5 years of relevant work experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role, in tertiary education institutions. Experience in handling grants applications, research funding schemes, and/or knowledge exchange projects would be an advantage. An excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, good organization and interpersonal skills, and good computer literacy are essential. They should be attentive to details, self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and have the ability to multi-task and work independently to meet strict deadlines.
The appointee will work on research and knowledge exchange portfolios, including but not limited to Faculty research support programmes, external research grants and Research Assessment Exercise. He/She is also required to oversee the administration of research postgraduate programmes in the Faculty and perform any other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and interview.
