We are looking for a Senior Alibaba Cloud Solution Architect with extensive experience in designing and implementing cloud-native solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Alibaba Cloud services and a proven track record of delivering complex, scalable, and efficient cloud architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect cloud-native solutions using Alibaba Cloud services, including compute, container, storage, middleware, database, serverless, and AI/ML technologies
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Develop and maintain best practices for cloud architecture, security, and cost optimization
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Alibaba Cloud services and industry trends
- Create detailed technical documentation and present solution designs to stakeholders
- Participate in pre-sales activities, including solution demonstrations and proof of concepts
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in cloud environments
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for cloud security and data protection
Requirements:
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in cloud architecture and solution design
- Strong expertise in Alibaba Cloud services and technologies
- Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud-native solutions using:
- Compute: ECS, Auto Scaling
- Container: Container Service for Kubernetes (ACK)
- Storage: OSS, NAS, Block Storage
- Middleware: Apsara Message Queue, API Gateway
- Database: (RDS, MongoDB, Redis)
- Serverless: Function Compute
- AI and Machine Learning: PAI, Machine Learning Platform (Good to know)
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and Alibaba Cloud networking services (VPC, SLB, Express Connect)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Resource Orchestration Service)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin)
- Relevant certifications such as Alibaba Cloud Certified Professional (ACP) or Alibaba Cloud Certified Expert (ACE) are highly desirable
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with multi-cloud environments and hybrid cloud architectures is an added advantage
- Knowledge of other major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for comparison and migration projects is an added advantage.
- Experience with big data and analytics platforms
- Familiarity with agile methodologies
