We are offering a diverse and exciting role. BlackRock is seeking an
Operations Analyst to join the Taiwan onshore team to support the growing business. The successful candidate will cover a range of operations responsibilities from Settlements, Corporate Actions to Fund Administration oversight locally. There will also be an opportunity to engage with offshore teams on global processes.
The BlackRock fund ranges include Taiwanese domiciled SITE (Securities Investment Trust Enterprise) and DIA (Discretionary Investment Account) funds. This is a multi-functional position where the candidate will primarily support core investment operations workflows (Corporate Actions and Trade Operations) and perform the Fund Administration oversight of BlackRock's Taiwan funds. The role covers both change and exception management and offers opportunities to learn and grow.
Reporting to the Operations Vice President in Taiwan, the team maintains close collaboration with Investments and Trading to support the full trade lifecycle from account set up, funding, settlement, asset servicing, margin, collateral and reconciliation. The Operations team establishes the Fund Control Environment and ensures adherence to local and global procedures. They also maintain positive and effective relationships with global operations centers for processes consistency and coverage. You will also be able to provide leading insights in new fund launches and drive outstanding client experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle corporate actions, transaction management and fund administration oversight for day-to-day operations, and related query management.
- Ensure all corporate actions, including income events, are validated, elected and processed timely across entitled funds.
- Collaborate closely with counterparties and custodians for timely trade settlement.
- Handle cash and trade workflow exception resolution including funding shortages or failed trades across products (FX, equities, bonds, derivatives, etc.).
- Perform timely and accurate validation of daily NAVs, including reporting and resolution of NAV errors.
- Assist in the preparation of distribution payouts
- Support account set up, funding, settlement, margin, collateral, and reconciliation.
- Manage monthly Regulatory Reporting preparation and regular & adhoc reporting externally and internally.
- Partner with Global Investment Operations colleagues and align local approach with global practice across process controls, oversight, and management of vendors.
- Participate in the periodic review and updating of the operating model & procedure documentation to ensure relevance and optimal working practices.
- Contribute to the operating model design process for new business and new products onshore especially in the context of local investment operations service model.
- Oversee outsourced functions, including performance of the service provider, leading all aspects of risk and control environments.
- Escalate all material risk items and service issues on a timely basis.

Requirements
- Possess at least 2 - 4 years of experience within the asset management industry or a related industry, with exposure to the Investment Operations lifecycle and processes.
- Professional Licenses: SITCA licensing (Securities Investment Trust & Consulting Professionals) is required.
- Proficient in associated reporting requirements (such as Monthly Regulatory Reporting preparation, and regular and ad hoc reporting externally and internally).
- Team player who can work within a small team and across several larger teams and is a strong communicator.
- Show excellent attention to detail with risk adverse and critical thinking skills.
- Strong ability and track record in resolving and implementing change to processes and products.
- Display initiative and take the lead in handling operational improvements and change.
- Work in a multifaceted, fast-paced environment with high self-assurance, energy and drive
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and develop strong collaborative working partnerships.
- Proficient in Mandarin and English
- Experience with financial technology platform would be valuable.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and prior hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g. VBA, RPA, Python, etc.) would be an advantage
