Job Description
POSITION GOALS
To provide comprehensive facility, contract management for services to Thermofisher, with a focus on continuous improvement. To achieve financial and other targets established by Facilities Manager. Achievement of the Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreement targets.
Duties And Responsibilities
Facility Operations
- Developing and implementing office procedures and performance measures to ensure simplification and accuracy of work methods and reliability of systems
- Ensuring an adequate supply of materials and service for the proper operation of the offices and enter into supply and service contracts as approved by Thermofisher
- Assist the Facilities Manager in the preparation of tender documentation; evaluation of tenders; preparation of contracts.
- Assist in ensuring the implementation and management of Risk & Safety work practices to reduce the interruption to Thermofisher's operations
- Co-ordinate with the Engineering teams in setting up and sustaining the best maintenance standards and practices
- Routinely Inspect all contracted services to ensure performance measures are being maintained
- Participate in Emergency Evacuation procedures including crisis management and business continuity.
- Manage all health and safety workplace issues and actively participate in health and safety reviews
- Assist in the comprehensive contract management for all out-sourced services.
EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATIONS
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Contract Administration experience of 5 yrs or more
- Experience in facilities management
- Excellent people skills and ability to interact with a wide range of client staff and demands
- Experience with tendering and service improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of local safety requirements
- Strong PC literacy and proven ability to manage daily activities using various systems.
- Experience with continuous improvement initiatives
- Report writing experience
