Assistant Manager (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref: 530293) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance).
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor's degree with at least 4-6 years of post-qualification work experience in a supervisory role. They should be competent communicators with an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) strong organisational, interpersonal skills, excellent time management and problem-solving skills and attentive to details. They should also be able to work independently or in a team on multi-tasking under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
The appointees will provide a high level of administrative and secretarial support to the senior administrators of the Faculty. This includes managing the calendar of meetings, handling correspondence and travel arrangements, managing committee memberships, and providing administrative and secretarial support for Faculty committees, meetings, functions, and events, as well as performing other duties as assigned. The appointees should also play a versatile role in supervising junior executive and clerical staff in supporting a full range of operational tasks. They are expected to develop effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels and be familiar with the University procedures and policies. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and written test.
