The team supports the business to grow revenues and profitability, while meeting de-risking objectives and maintaining an effective risk management framework. - Support formulation, agreement, and implementation of strategic plans for the business
- Cost structure transformation and management to future proof the bank
- Risk governance to support the management team in risk oversight and decision making
- Provide oversight of fraud management and operations activities

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as
Assistant Manager, WPB Business Risk Management.
Principal responsibilities:- Prepare regular risk reporting to the risk governance committee
- To assess operational risks and ensure adequate controls and procedures are in place in the First Line of Defense and also in line with Group Operational Risk framework in WPB businesses
- To liaise with WPB businesses for ensuring their compliance with statutory, group and internal requirements relating to Financial Crime Compliance
- To coordinate with WPB Business in relation to regulatory or audit enquiries and to ensure proper completion of the concerned actions
- To communicate with WPB Business in relation to new or revised regulatory or internal guidelines and to ensure staff awareness on control and compliance areas
- To perform data analysis for risk identification and monitoring
- To provide consultancy to WPB Business in terms of the risk control, control monitoring and compliance assurance procedures
- Handle ad hoc projects in relation to WPB risk and compliance
Requirements:
Degree in a related discipline OR other relevant qualifications Minimum 3 years banking experience, preferably with exposure to retail banking business and knowledge of related regulatory requirements and internal guidelines Strong attentiveness to detail, compliance and control orientation Good communication and interpersonal skills, with sound knowledge of application software such as MS Excel and Access an advantage Proficiency in both English and Chinese Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes.
