Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

You will be working closely with quest designers, game designers and animators to create cutscenes by using Ubisoft game engine and animation bank and keep the balance between the storytelling and gameplay.

What you will do

  • Analyze the story scripts and quests documents to highlight dependencies and risks about in-game cutscenes.
  • Create and integrate in-game cutscenes using proprietarytools base on the story scripts.
  • Work with Animators, Lighting Artist, Audio Designers and VFX artists on realization of the You will need to work closely with story mission designers, planning teams, and animation teams to use Ubisoft's internal engine tools and resources in the animation library to turn story scripts into cutscenes and balance the narrative with the gameplay experience.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze and evaluate content and risk relationships related to cutscenes in stories and mission scripts
  • Use dedicated engine tools to produce and integrate in-game cutscenes based on story scripts
  • Work with colleagues such as animation, lighting, audio and special effects designers to complete the implementation of in-game cutscenes

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Love games and movies, be passionate making high quality games and cutscenes.
  • Knowledge of cinematography and editing.
  • Good understanding of acting, including facial expression, posing, timing.
  • Excellent communication skills and abilities to work efficiently within a team.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with 3D software like MotionBuilder, 3ds Max, Maya . in video production.
  • Experience of working in the video games industry as a Cinematic Designer.
  • Experience with game engine in game development.

Job Requirements

  • Love games and movies, and have a strong passion for making high-quality games and their cutscenes
  • Experience, skills and knowledge in video editing, and basic knowledge of photography
  • Good understanding of character performance, including facial expressions, body modeling, and sense of rhythm
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Good oral and written English communication skills, and willingness to use English to communicate at work

Bonus

  • Experience in using Maya, 3ds Max, MotionBuilder and other tools to create animated images
  • Experience working as a cutscene designer in the game industry
  • Experience in game development using a commercial game engine
