Clerk I/II

Clerk I/II in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (3 posts)(Ref.: 530484) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should have at least 5 passes in HKCEE, including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics, OR min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 5 years relevant work experience, preferably in tertiary education. They should be good team players with an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua. They should also possess computer literacy organisational, communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Applicants with less experience may be considered for the position of Clerk II. Those with a Bachelor's degree or above will be offered the functional title of Senior Executive Assistant/Executive Assistant.

The appointee will provide administrative and clerical support for the department in one/two aspects of the following: (i) academic programmes, (ii) the daily operation of the Department including matters related to Human Resources, Finance and Research, Research (e.g. Research Assessment Exercise), and (iii) new initiatives such as arranging workshops with other universities and industrial partners, secretarial support for Faculty members, and perform other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
