Job Title: Cloud Admin
Location: Hybrid in Tapei City
Experience: 8 years Windows or UNIX administration, at least 4 with cloud services
Education: BS/BA in technical discipline or equivalent experience (4 years in position + below)
Certification:
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) Required
Additional Azure Certification (any of AZ304, AZ-305, AZ-400, AZ500, AZ-700) Required
Technologies of expertise: Windows Server Administration, Cloud Concepts, Azure IAAS Administration (network, storage, virtual machines), Azure SAAS Administration, Azure Resource Manager, PowerShell
Required Software and Services Knowledge: Apache, Azure service fundamentals, Azure NetApp Files, DNS, LDAP, NIS, Print Queues, SSH, Active Directory, X and associated remote access tools, NFS, CIFS, Common UNIX tools and Common Windows tools
Required OS Systems Administration: Windows Server, Windows Client and knowledge on Linux (Redhat and Ubuntu distributions and their derivatives)
Common Office Tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams, PowerBI, Microsoft SQL and Microsoft Cloud Database technologies
Required Programming Skills: Perl, Python, Powershell, Shell Languages including Bourne, C-Shell and derivatives and SQL
Roles & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities associated with Azure Cloud administration and management for hardware engineering which can be managed from a remote site. End user contact and communication is a key element in the successful delivery of IT support; therefore, prompt, and professional service will be mandatory. You will handle basic end user personally identifying information: name, username, IP address and should perform support, consulting, implementation, and related services as more fully described below.
Specific Administration responsibilities associated with hardware engineering IT Support include:
Responding to, addressing, and resolving first-tier end user IT service requests
Tracking the creation and closure of end user service requests through service request tracking system
Administer and maintain Azure-based compute environments.
Managing end user accounts
Actively manage Network Appliance and storage infrastructure, including CIFS and quotas
Implementing system security and controls processes
Monitoring and administering all Windows services, including but not limited to:
Domain Name Services (DNS)
Network Infrastructure Service (NIS)
Light Directory Application Protocol (LDAP)
Altair Accelerator Queue
Hands-on experience of configuration management, Infrastructure as a Code, Git and CI/CD will be an added advantage.
Performing scheduled software server maintenance
Deploying new versions of software and operating systems
Managing security updates
Developing and maintaining procedural documentation
Interacting with the corporate IT System Administrators
Maintaining version control over for all installed software
Specific Systems Engineering responsibilities associated with hardware engineering IT Support include:
Evaluating and Enhancing system administration procedures including leveraging any possible automation opportunities
Researching and presenting viable options for implementing new technologies
Developing and maintaining Windows system administrative documentation for systems, both physical and procedural peculiar to this engagement
Interacting with the corporate IT System Administrators
Creating tools to automate common system administration tasks through Python, Perl or Shell Scripting.
Other critical requirements
Structured approach to project management, problem solving skills and be a team player.
Proficient in written and spoken English (CEFR C1 or equivalent)
Service level tracking and reporting
Azure DevOps project updates, Project tracking and reporting
A quick learner and automation skills are critical.
