Reporting to Managing Director, the Commercial Director will lead all sales channels in Taiwan as well as the Customer Marketing team. As the commercial leader of these functions, the Commercial Director will have overall ownership of all sell-through activities and is responsible for creating strategies to deliver annual targets and setting goals for each channel/subchannel. As a people leader, the Commercial Director will lead, motivate, develop and empower the team to achieve targets and goals.
The Commercial Director will also be a member of the MH Taiwan Exco. In this role the Commercial Director is expected to contribute to the overall development of MH Taiwan, collaborate with the other Exco members and other stakeholders to be a culture setter for the market, drive teamwork across MH Taiwan teams and other cluster/regions, and collaborate with other leaders to drive continuous improvement of talent capabilities and operational excellence. The Commercial Director is also expected to set a positive example on compliance, internal control, integrity and social responsibility.

Job Responsibilities
How you will contribute- Leadership of Sales and Customer Marketing Functions
- Develop and drive annual commercial plans for all channels in Taiwan to achieve company objectives and business targets
- Foster an open, supportive, result-driven culture within the team and lead by example
- Lead, coach and empower team members to help them develop and grow their commercial capabilities, and support them to craft creative solutions that exceed customer expectations.
- Utilise tools and best practice to instil a data-driven approach to measuring performance and making sound commercial decisions
- Develop new business opportunities, sales channels and Route-To-Market strategies to deliver business performance and drive business growth
- Adopt a data-driven and analytic approach for measuring business metrics and sales team performance holistically
- Work with Finance and Supply Chain to closely monitor profit, margin, pricing and other business metrics and evaluate variances and implications to business
- Commercial Leadership
- Grow existing channels and develop strategies to win market share or grow the market, depending on the category
- Hunt for new business opportunities and develop a commercial plan to secure these opportunities, which may include new routes to market or new business models with existing customers.
- Develop and grow relationships with key customers across all channels, be the internal champion of customers by having a thorough knowledge of customer needs and having a strategic view on how we can grow our businesses together.
- Own the FTT process and foster collaboration between Customer Marketing team and finance to ensure efficiency in FTT processes and accuracy in FTT data
- Adopt a consultative selling and customer-focused approach to improve service quality and efficiency
- Compliance and Integrity
- Ensure all business actions and strategies are compliant with company policies, governance and local regulations
- Build trusted partnerships and work in a compliant manner with all business partners and stakeholders by managing the business in a way that is of high level of compliance and integrity
- Contribute to external reporting by providing qualitative & quantitative inputs that accurately reflect current situation and offer accurate forecasts on future performance
- Cultivate a business environment which values compliance, integrity and social sustainability
Profile

- Relevant sales and commercial leadership experience gained from companies with comparable organizational complexity and multicultural business environment
- Possessing industry experience in FMCG, Consumer or Luxury Goods will be highly desirable, or have experience in managing businesses with a similar go-to-market model
- Consistent business achievement with capability of leading sizable team, building team capabilities and transforming commercial organization
- Strong commercial and data-driven mindset with proven ability in strategic planning, managing financial targets and analysing financial data
- Strong commercial and data-driven mindsets with good understanding of consumer behaviour, market trends and competition
- Strong emphasis on compliance, integrity and social sustainability
- Capable of empowering team, coaching and providing feedback to team, managing team resources
- A self-starter, entrepreneurial, customer focused and results oriented team leader
- Fluent in Mandarin and English
