Responsibilities
1. Ensure the overall quality of local languages: (1) Responsible for the quality of product UI and documentation in the target market (2) Identify and analyze language quality issues, and work with LPM and other teams to develop improvement plans (3) Develop language strategies suitable for local markets (4) Supervise and execute local language work, including but not limited to translation, review, transcreation/copywriting, quality inspection and LQA 2. Manage language assets: (1) Create and maintain 2Develop local language asset management strategies 3. Maintain language resources: 1Monitor the quality of external translators in the language, including but not limited to spot checks, training and development Quality improvement plan (2) Collaborate with internal teams and seek professional advice when necessary 4. Communicate with partners: As the main contact person for the language, work with internal and external teams to provide local culture and language related advice 5. Develop practical Implement processes and guidelines suitable for local language and culture to ensure the consistency and quality of localized content 6. Manage local language project timelines, quality indicators and synchronize progress with partners. 1.Ensure the overall quality of the assigned language: (1)Responsible for the language quality of the assigned market for the designated product interface and documentation (2)Identify and analyze language quality issues and work on improvement plans with content project managers and XFN teams (3)Initiate language strategy tailored for the assigned language (4)Oversee and perform language tasks including but not limited to translation, review, transcreation/copywriting, quality checks and LQA 2.Manage language assets: (1)Creation and maintenance of the terminology database, TM, writing/localization guidelines and QA checklists (2)Develop a strategy to manage language assets for the designated language 3.Manage resources available to the language: (1)Monitor the quality of external resources for the language, including but not limited to conducting quality reviews, trainings and performance improvement plans (2)Connect with internal SMEs for expert opinion when necessary 4.Bridge communication with stakeholders: Work as the prime contact for the assigned language, to work with both internal and external 1.Bachelor degree or above in translation, localization, literature or IT related majors more than 5 years of translation work experience, at least 3 years of translation proofreading experience 2.Excellent Japanese language skills, with good language and cultural insights fully proficient in English 3.Proficient in CAT and TMS tools, with LQA experience 4.Experience in app or website product localization project management skills 5.Excellent verbal, written and communication skills, able to work across time zones and cultures 6.Experience in managing glossaries, TMs and style guides is preferred. 1.Bachelor's degree, preferably in Translation, Localization, Literature Studies or IT-related fields At least 5 years of working experience, with min 3 years of translation/proofreading experience 2.Full Japanese language proficiency, possessing good language and cultural insights Full working proficiency in English 3.Experience with CAT tools, TMS, and LQA process 4.Experience in IT-related industry and product localization across app/web environments Proven project management skills 5.Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, ability to work across time zones and cultures 6.Experience in managing the glossary,TM and style guide will be a plus.
