ERM seeks an exceptional individual to join as a
Consulting Senior Associate/ Consultant/ Senior Consultant/ Managing Consultant Biodiversity in our Capital Projects Delivery Team based in Taipei. The role will be specifically work on biodiversity and environmental matters, including Environmental and Social Impact Assessment, Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD) and nature positive for our projects in the Taiwan and in locations throughout the world, with a focus on renewables and other sectors.
SCOPE:
In this role, you will contribute to the development and growth of ERM's Capital Project Delivery business. Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic, energetic and excellent communicators in both written and spoken English. They must be comfortable dealing with clients and project stakeholders; and, have experience in conducting biodiversity surveys or impact assessments in the terrestrial and / or marine environment.
Candidates must have a passion for sustainability, a proven background in biodiversity, and be familiar with biodiversity impact assessments. You will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of projects, delivering sustainable solutions to clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act within a team under the role of Biodiversity Specialist to deliver consulting services (including Biodiversity Impact Assessments and related mitigations/plans) for multiple sector clients and financial institutions (eg IFC, ADB, World Bank) throughout Asia, and globally;
- Assist in the development of new services in the emerging global trend on committing to nature positive;
- Plan or supervise Biodiversity Surveys for projects in the field, supervising subcontractors, managing Health and Safety, and coordinating logistics, often in remote locations;
- Liaise with academic institutions and governmental agencies responsible for research and issuance of regulatory standards on Biodiversity Impact Assessments;
- Represent the interests of the company in all dealings, and communications with ERM clients, potential clients, contacts and other businesses in the ERM Group and ensure that client needs are met and work is conducted to the highest standard; and
- Stay knowledgeable of trends and innovation in the field.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidates must have a postgraduate qualification, preferably in a biodiversity or conservation focussed environmental discipline;
- Depending on the career level to be applied for, a minimum of two (2) to six (6) years of relevant experience is essential;
- Previous experience working with biodiversity related teams or organizations;
- Proven experience in delivering biodiversity work in the terrestrial and / or marine environment;
- Experience in delivering multi-disciplinary projects for the Renewable, Power, Mining, or Infrastructure Sectors etc;
- Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and work independently with minimal supervision;
- Ability and availability to travel internationally; and
- A strong ability to converse and write in English Language is a fundamental requirement.
