CONTRACT MANAGER
Location: Taiwan
The Contract Manager is responsible for the establishment and execution of contracts of significance, safeguarding the interests of the client organization, in terms of risks, costs, deadlines, and obligations.
(1) ACTIVITIES
IN PROJECT DEVELOPMENT PHASE:
- Coordinate the activities of various stakeholders (engineering, procurement, legal, etc.) from the scope definition phase to the negotiation of industrial contracts (EPCI or TSA, turbines, foundations, floaters, etc.)
- Draft all contractual documents in collaboration with procurement, engineering, legal, insurance, and finance experts
- Define tender requirements in collaboration with the Industrial Procurement Department, ensuring compliance with applicable rules (e.g., European Directive 2014/25)
- Manage contractual exchanges with suppliers and oversee their follow-up
- Define evaluation criteria based on proposals and recommendations from legal, engineering, and industrial procurement, and assess supplier responses
- Validate contract projects and annexes, with support from legal and procurement teams
- Supervise the preparation of all other necessary documents (technical specifications, bonds, guarantees, etc.) for the contractual process
- Lead negotiations with suppliers until contract signing
- Provide internal project reporting
IN PROJECT CONSTRUCTION PHASE:
- Implement a contract monitoring plan and validate milestones associated with payment terms
- Analyze contractual discrepancies, negotiate and handle claims from subcontractors, and prepare claims to be sent
- Draft and validate incoming and outgoing correspondences related to contract execution
- Define and lead the Kick-off meeting (establish communication rules and train the project team)
- Contribute to the development of IT solutions supporting the business
IN PROJECT ACQUISITION PHASE:
- Participate in estimating project contract coverage and its value.
