Budget Management: Establish a baseline budget following approvals. Monitor and update the status against the budget in collaboration with project managers and commercial teams.
Cost Tracking: Implement and maintain a system for tracking all project costs, including contractor performance, manhours, subcontractor costs and all contingency allocations.
Forecasting: Prepare and present regular cost forecasts to senior management, highlighting potential risks and opportunities for cost savings. Collaborate with the planning team to ensure the phasing or costs are aligned to the project schedule.
Reporting: Generate detailed cost reports and analyses for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
Variance Analysis: Identify and analyse cost variances, providing actionable insights to project managers to keep the project on track.
Risk Management: Collaborate with project teams to assess financial risks and develop mitigation strategies. Work closely with the risk management function to ensure alignment between the cost forecast and the contingency analysis.
Compliance: Ensure that all cost management practices comply with local regulations and corporate policies
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in, Quantity Surveying, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost control on major capital projects preferably in offshore wind.
Familiarity with offshore wind projects or large-scale infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
Strong analytical skills, presentation skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP tools, Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multinational environment.
Fluency in English. Ability to speak Chinese, Japanese, Korean or other languages is a plus
