One of my clients is looking for a EHS director candidate, based in Taipei.
Job Description:
- Develop and implement Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
- Oversee group activities to ensure compliance with government regulations, EHS standards and ISO management systems.
- Collaborate with various departments to promote EHS programs and conduct related training courses to enhance employee safety and environmental awareness.
- Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations, establish preventive measures to reduce occupational hazards and environmental impacts.
- Manage group greenhouse gas emissions and internal carbon tax collection
- Regularly report EHS performance and provide recommendations and improvement plans to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene or related fields; relevant certifications preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of EHS-related work experience, including management positions.
- Familiar with Taiwan and international EHS regulations and standards, with the ability to develop and implement EHS policies.
- Strong communication and reporting skills, with experience in incident crisis management.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with various departments.
- Must have manufacturing industry experience and major incident handling experience; candidates with engineering background will be given preference.
