Job Summary
Silvaco, a leading provider of EDA (Electronic Design Automation) solutions and Intellectual Property (IP), is seeking a talented and experienced Director of Design for SRAM to lead the establishment and growth of a new SRAM design team in Taiwan. As the Director of Design for SRAM, you will be responsible for building and managing a high-performing team dedicated to developing cutting-edge SRAM designs. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of SRAM technology and driving innovation in the Taiwanese market, within a company that offers both EDA solutions and IP.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES; include but not limited to:
- Build and lead a new SRAM design team based in Taiwan, responsible for developing state-of-the-art SRAM designs using Silvaco's EDA solutions and IP.
- Recruit, hire, and mentor top-tier design engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the team.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to the design team, ensuring the successful execution of SRAM design projects and meeting customer requirements.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing, to define SRAM design requirements and specifications.
- Drive the development and optimization of SRAM architectures, focusing on high performance, low power consumption, and manufacturability.
- Develop and implement design methodologies, best practices, and quality standards to ensure efficient and reliable SRAM design processes.
- Oversee the design verification process, including functional verification and performance analysis, to ensure robust and reliable SRAM designs.
- Collaborate with physical design teams to ensure successful integration of SRAM designs into larger system-on-chip (SoC) designs.
Qualifications And Required Experience
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in SRAM design, with a deep understanding of memory architecture, circuit design, and layout considerations.
- Proven experience in building and leading design teams, with a track record of successful project execution and team-building in the semiconductor industry, preferably in Taiwan.
- Expertise in SRAM design methodologies, including low-power design, high-speed design, and yield optimization.
- Proficiency in using EDA tools, preferably Silvaco's EDA solutions, for SRAM design and verification.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make design trade-offs and optimize performance, power, and area.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Analog design or NVM (Non-Volatile Memory) design experience is a plus.
- Fluent English language skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with global teams and customers.
All Silvaco salary ranges are determined by role, level and geographic location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training and additional role-related considerations.
Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commission or other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of total compensation package, in addition to full range of medical, financial and other benefits.
