EDS COMPONENTS ENGINEER

Defines the requirements and standards to meet best-in-class performance on EDS components.

Defines the strategy on existing and future components.

Coaches delivery, In-House and/or other COC on the choice of best component.

Knowledge of 2D / 3D wiring harnesses geometry, change control, product definition and change management processes are desirable in order to support the review of feasible product actions.

Ensure robust implementation and compatibility with downstream systems through to production.

Understands technical requirements for delivery of vehicle EDS Components.

JLR build of design (BoD), build of process (BoP) and harness DFM requirements.

Support and/or investigate resolution of build issues during pre-production builds and launch phase.

Ensure robust designs are produced that maintain compatibility with downstream systems through to production.

Develop and deliver strategies and processes to improve the EDS components.

Supports the delivery of the EDS commodity including geometry, cost, weight, quality and functional performance, keeping data accuracy at correct level on JLR database.

Supplier and EDS Tier 1 supplier meetings and collaboration where required.

Part validation and sign off activities where required.
