Lead all engineering activities to ensure smooth introduction of new products, continuous cost reduction, implementation of new technologies and key people development.What does the role involve
- Manage all cool engineering and continuous improvement activities in the respective unit including speedy new product introduction, robust engineering change management, well managed product specification, significant cost improvement, innovative machine investment planning/implementation, systematic technical know how management, strategic projects from plant level
- Manage the overall new product introduction projects of the respective business unit to ensure projects meet agreed quality, time, cost during different project gate, build world class project delivery and improvement system to significantly improve project delivery efficiency and effectiveness
- Proactively drive breakthrough process and technology innovation, rapidly realize commercial value through stable and capable process to achieve sustainable competitive advantage of Hilti new products
- Early involve operation team to build strong production system development to ensure target product cost, efficiency/productivity, quality meet product expectations during mass production phase, design unit operation excellence and material flow based on value stream principle
- Develop advanced machine concept, mitigate the risks with machine creation team of technical service team and vendor together
- Proactively communicate with different key stakeholders, manage expectations and maintain positive relationship, proactively build plant product portfolio and roadmap based on global and local product development and regionalized strategy, develop and deploy technology / investment strategy along with the key stakeholders in order to establish long term competitive advantage in both technology and end-to-end cost
- Develop effective people plan, people competency development and upskilling, regular people coaching to build up strong engineering team people pipeline as well as high level of people engagement

- Bachelor degree or above with mechanical, chemical or materials engineering related
- More than 8 years of engineering manager with multinational company, solid people and full engineering function (new product introduction, operation improvement and machine technology) leading experiences, international study or working experience, metal forming, cold forming/ machinery experiences preferred
- Strong passion and deep technical depth with technology, proven record with complex project leadership, product/process/technology innovation, able to manage system interfaces and interdependencies
- Practitioner level in design to manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and design to quality and cost, experiences with quality functional deployment (QFD), design of experiments (DOE) and correlation analysis, statistical analysis, TRIZ and design for six sigma (DFSS) will be preferred
- Excellence communication skill, proven structure problem-solving skills in technical and business issues
