Executive Officer in the Department of Civil Engineering (Ref.: 530362) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor's degree, with at least 4 years research or administrative work experience or equivalent, preferably in tertiary institutions. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua and Cantonese) and good IT literacy. They should also be good team players with excellent organisational, communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills, and be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently.
The appointee will provide administrative and project management support for the Department's research centres and institutes. He/She will provide secretarial support to various boards, committees and working groups organize academic and research activities, such as visits, forums, seminars, symposia and conferences. The appointee will also help in human resources and financial matters preparation of review reports, annual plans, presentation materials, etc. and perform any other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test and an interview.
