Facilities Officer (holding the functional title of Security Officer) in Security and Parking Unit of Estates Office (Ref. no.530415) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance).
Applicants should possess at least 5 passes in HKCEE including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics, OR min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics with 7 years working experience, 5 of which preferably be of working as a supervisor at any disciplinary force or at sizable organization responsible for physical security operations. Applicant should possess a valid Security Personnel Permit and driving license. Applicant is expected to possess strong leadership and communication skills and be able to compile reports in English.
The key responsibilities of the appointee are (a) Supervising a sizeable security workforce combining in-house and outsourced counterparts (b) managing the 24-hour security control centre equipped with CCTV, alarm and other security systems (c) devising operation plans for special events and (d) assisting the security managers in liaison with law enforcement agencies. The appointee may be required to work irregular hours and shifts on weekends and public holidays.
