Job Description

A financial analyst is responsible for analyzing financial data, creating reports, and providing insights to help companies make informed business decisions. They play a key role in understanding market trends, evaluating the financial health of organizations, and assisting in budget planning, investment strategies, and cost management.

1. **Financial Reporting:** Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

2. **Data Analysis:** Collect and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and risks that can influence decision-making.

3. **Budgeting and Forecasting:** Help prepare budgets and financial forecasts, comparing actual results with projections and making adjustments where necessary.

4. **Investment Analysis:** Evaluate investment opportunities, IRR, discounting, assess risks, and suggest strategies to maximize returns.

5. **Risk Management:** Monitor financial performance and provide risk assessments to management to minimize potential losses.

6. **Performance Evaluation:** Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure a company's financial performance against benchmarks.

7. **Market Research:** Conduct research on economic and industry trends that may affect the company or its investments.

8. **Compliance:** Ensure that all financial practices comply with regulatory requirements.

**Skills and Qualifications:**

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills

- Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting

- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting

- Proficient in Excel, financial software, and data analysis tools

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

- Excellent communication skills to present data and recommendations to stakeholders; Communicate in English. Great if the analyst can travel to the US from time to time.

**Educational Requirements:**

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related fields (advanced degrees like MBA or CFA are often preferred)

- Certifications like CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) can enhance prospects
