General Manager - Chengdu Subsidiary

Brief Description:

• The Leader of Chengdu Subsidiary, reporting to the Executive Committee of AVIAGE SYSTEMS, plays a pivotal role in bridging the parent company's strategic goals with the subsidiary's operational needs. This role is accountable for driving the subsidiary's growth and profitability, achieving its commitment by leading a fast-paced, externally focused team to satisfy market and customer needs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the parent company's strategic objectives and the subsidiary's market conditions, customer context and regulatory environment
• Manage subsidiary's resources and daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in all business processes and operations
• Lead product development projects execution to fulfill the contract obligations and business cases and stay adaptivity to customer, market and technical changes to ensure product competitive advantage
• Take ownership of subsidiary's financial outcomes, including both profits and losses, budget management and expenses optimization
• Recruit, develop and lead a diverse team of technical and commercial professionals, fostering a productive and motivated workforce and team culture
• Engage and enhance relationships with key stakeholders, including parent company functions, customers, suppliers, research institutions, universities and local regulatory agencies to expand and secure business opportunities
• Ensure the Subsidiary complies with local regulations and the parent company's Compliance and governance standards
• Integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organizations, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in parent company's long-term planning, and contribute to the overall Company growth
• Collaborate with other functions to achieve overall organizational goals
• Identify and mitigate risks to ensure business continuity

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college majoring in Engineering, Business Management or equivalent
• 8+ years experience in product development, project management, business development, engineering or related areas, under a customer-centric, fast response and dynamic environment
• A lead-by-influence and lead-by-example practitioner who is good at driving cross-functional project teams to meet cost/schedule/scope objectives
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, ability to present complex issues to multi-level audiences
• Proven experience of leading mid-sized product development or engineering team
• Possess of the spirit of winning and involution
• Strong willingness and ability to build alliances to form strong & effective teams
• Fluent in both English and Chinese
• Willingness and ability for frequent travel

Qualifications Desired:

• Demonstrated leadership and proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams, including engineering, product development, program management, account management, and etc.
• Ability to build effective relationships with the highest levels of customers, partners and industrial associations
• Ability to develop strategy and work collaboratively to achieve effective implementation
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
