1. Managing Multiple Application Teams: This includes overseeing more than 40 team members who work on delivering solutions and services across various platforms such as in-house AS400, Java, and vendor solution.
2. Partnering with Stakeholders: The role requires close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to align priorities and develop solutions and resource plans that meet business growth and objectives
3. Digital Transformation: Working closely with various regional teams is essential for driving digital transformation initiatives
4. Leading the Team through Change: The head of core platform delivery is responsible for leading the team to embrace changes, adopt new ways of working, and learn new skills
5. Strategic Planning and Execution: The role involves articulating and continuously adjusting the local 3-year IT strategy roadmap to align with both the local business unit (PCALT) and group strategies
6. Supervising Development: Ensuring that the development of core platform components meets quality, security, and functionality standards is a critical responsibility
7. Ensuring Reliability and Performance: The head of core platform delivery is tasked with ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of the core platforms.
Qualification:
Education: Bachelor's degree or above
Knowledge/Capability: Solid knowledge on the customer journey, products, internal processes, and system development/maintenance of life Insurance industry.Fluent in both spoken and written English.
Skills/Competences: Strong business acumen strategic thinking effective communications conflict & risk management people management, and solid problem solving skill
Years of relevant experience: 10+ years IT experience with 5+ years in IT management role
