Qualifications
- with certificate(s) of relevant specialty / HKCEE / HKDSE or equivalent academic qualification
- with Trade Test Certificate in relevant trade (trades including Bar Bending & Fixing / Bricklaying, Plastering &Tiling / Painting & Decorating / Plumbing & Pipe-fitting / Surveying & Levelling / Timber Formwork /Joinery /Electrical Installation/ Electric & Mechanic (Air Conditioning / Fire Service) or construction trades closely related to any of the above) and
- a minimum of 7 years solid work experience in relevant trade.
(Applicants who do not possess the required qualifications and / or experience may be considered for other positions within the organisation.)
Duties include
- to conduct training courses
- to assist in the preparation of training programmes
- to prepare schedules and estimates for the purchase of consumable materials, tools, plants and equipment for the relevant trade and to check the quality of purchased materials, tools and equipment upon delivery
- to supervise and monitor the subordinates under his / her charge and to appraise their performance and report periodically as required
- to implement all necessary safety precautions
- to be responsible for the overall supervision of students, maintaining discipline and preparation of report on the conduct, learning attitude and progress of students periodically and as required
- to carry out maintenance of work tools and equipment for the purpose of training at workshops or training grounds, and to monitor the repair and maintenance work as required
- to assist in the recruitment and placement of students and
- to carry out any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director from time to time.
