This role within the Investments IT team will collaborate to deliverinnovative solutions for Asia Investments initiatives. The candidate will elicit, analyze, and capture requirements to meet business partner needs in the Front / Middle / Back Offices, Distribution, Finance, Risk and Controls teams. Strong interpersonal skills and Asset Management and/or Capital Market knowledge are required, as the incumbent will have frequent interactions with clients at all levels within the organization.Proficient facilitation and elicitation skills are imperative to build complex business requirements in this fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders, vendors, leaders, application development and testers to deliver innovative solutions in a fast paced, growing asset management environment.
- Establish and maintain trusted advisory roles with clients by gathering and analyzing information to provide recommendations to address business issues.
- Manage discussions, conflicts, and negotiations through to resolution, using communication strategies that align with different audience styles, environments and/or cultures.
- Define and clearly articulate problem statements to allow for collaboration on solutions that meet client and business needs.
- Lead development of quality requirement artifacts using a variety of visual techniques such as process models, workflow diagrams, storyboards and use cases.
- Facilitate sessions and drive discussions to uncover critical and/or hidden requirements, the true business need, and associated risks.
- Use knowledge of technical and operational challenges that may impact the rollout of an application/process to drive discussions about solutions and risk mitigation.
- Employ data collection and analysis techniques to determine data mappings that support interfaces between applications and data stores.
- Use tools such as SQL and Tableau to extract data and engage in data profiling.
- Stay current with trends in emerging technologies and how they could apply to SLC Management.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience as Business Analyst in Investments, Asset Management and/or Capital Markets environment.
- Strong and broad domain knowledge of investment financial instruments and asset management business.
- Experienced in working with investments Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office operations.
- Experienced knowledge with Bloomberg or Aladdin Order Management and Portfolio Management platforms.
- Practical experience in data extraction with reporting tools such as SQL or Tableau.
- Evidence of effective and efficient delivery in a virtual, multi-site environment.
- Experience with Agile delivery model, tools (e.g., Jira; confluence; Miro), and writing technical user stories.
- Solid understanding of software development and deployment life cycle.
Preferred:
- Highly motivated with demonstrated eagerness for continuous learning and self-growth.
- Knowledge and/or previous experience with Markit EDM/EDMW tool
- Business Data Analytics certification or training.
- Proven communication, consultation, and facilitation skills to lead diverse stakeholder group to agreement.
- Demonstrated ability to apply a variety of planning, analysis, elicitation, modelling, data mining and documentation techniques to accurately define and communicate requirements.
