About the Role

As our Lead Product Designer, you will be at the forefront of creating seamless and engaging user experiences that align with both business objectives and user needs. You'll work closely with our product and engineering teams to ensure that every design not only meets our strategic goals but also delights our customers. Your ability to design holistically, focusing on the entire customer journey, will be critical in delivering innovative and visually appealing solutions that improve customer satisfaction and retention.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

1. Ensuring usability: Create user-friendly designs that meet business goals and deliver real customer value. You will provide insights during the planning stages and collaborate with product managers and developers throughout product discovery, delivery, and iteration.
2. Designing holistic customer experiences: Consider the entire user journey, from onboarding to long-term engagement, to create cohesive experiences across all touchpoints.
3. Delivering high-quality visual and interaction designs: Ensure that all designs are intuitive, visually appealing, and aligned with our brand identity while focusing on usability, especially for mobile interfaces.
4. Driving design innovation: Regularly propose and experiment with new design ideas, staying ahead of design trends, and pushing creative boundaries to drive product differentiation.
5. Integrating user testing into the design process: Conduct frequent usability tests and refine designs based on user feedback to ensure alignment with customer needs and business goals.
6. Leveraging prototyping for collaboration: Create and maintain prototypes that help communicate design concepts clearly and facilitate team collaboration. You'll work with key stakeholders to validate designs before they are implemented.
7. Creating and maintaining a design system: Build and maintain a cohesive design system to ensure consistency across the product and proactively update it to reflect new insights and best practices.
8. Collaborating effectively: Work closely with cross-functional teams, facilitate workshops, and clearly communicate design decisions to ensure alignment with the product vision.

Requirements:

• Fluency in English. Strong written and verbal communication in Chinese is a great bonus.
• Must live in a time zone that is no more than 2 hours ahead or behind Taiwan time (GMT+8).

Technical Requirements:

• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant platforms.
• Experience with prototyping tools such as InVision, Axure, or similar.
• Familiarity with user testing tools like UserTesting, UsabilityHub, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of UX/UI best practices and ability to create designs that are both visually appealing and functional.
• Experience working with design systems: ability to create, maintain, and scale design systems across teams.
• Experience with business analytics tools like Mixpanel or Google Analytics to inform design decisions and validate the effectiveness of your work.
• Experience in collaborating using project management tools like ClickUp, Notion, or similar platforms.

4) Location and Schedule Flexibility

We have a hybrid set-up with the team in Taiwan meeting in person 2-3 times per month. If you're outside of Taiwan, you can work fully remote.

Our team typically works 9:00-18:00 Taipei time. But if you want to make any changes to your schedule, we're very open to it.
