Position Impact:
We are looking to hire a Legal Counsel who can direct the compliance, risk management, and litigation exercises for our organization. As a Legal Counsel, your duties and responsibilities include ensuring that all the company's contracts follow legal rules and policies, providing legal advice on various matters to top management to enhance the business, and handling litigation issues effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate legal direction to the office staff on all matters that influence the organization.
- Deal with compliance, risk management, and litigation matters for in-house counsel and other legal administrative groups.
- Attend official-level meetings related to the future aspects of the organization.
- Create vendor contracts and contractual work agreements.
- Ensure that the organization complies with all present business process laws.
- Manage complex issues with various stakeholders and authorities.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation.
- Draft and solidify contracts, privacy policies, agreements, terms and conditions, and other legal documents.
- Research a variety of legal issues that could impact the company.
- Handle all aspects of litigation, including preparing for and representing the company in court, drafting and filing legal documents, managing discovery processes, negotiating settlements, and liaising with external legal advisors.
- Develop and implement litigation strategies to protect the company's interests and mitigate legal risks.

Requirements:
- Law degree in Taiwan; LL.M. degree from a foreign jurisdiction is a plus.
- At least 8 years post-qualification experience, 2+ years of which should be as in-house counsel, preferably with listed or multinational companies.
- Licensed to practice in Taiwan.
- Open-minded, passionate, and motivated to tackle complicated issues.
- Excellent team player with good communication skills.
