We are looking for a talented Junior Legal Counsel with 4-5 years of relevant experience and a passion for intellectual property (IP) and ESG to join HTC's IP Advancement Team.
Job Description:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, especially engineers and R&D, to manage and assess the company's IP portfolio, ensuring our innovations are fully protected and well evaluated.
- Follow and update the current legal developments in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) projects, to ensure the company's sustainability strategy complying with the legal requirements.
- Assist in providing legal advice in intellectual property related matters, including brand licensing, trademark applications, and patent monetization matters.
- Provide internal and external legal support, offering legal advice to ensure the company operates within legal compliance frameworks.
- Support the company's global business expansion, particularly in matters related to international intellectual property laws.
Qualifications:
- Licensed attorney in Taiwan.
- 4+ years of legal experience as a transactional attorney, preferably with some portion of that experience in technology and commercial transactions
- Excellent written and verbal communication (in both English and Mandarin Chinese), analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and a team player.
- Ability to communicate complex issues (legal and technical) to all levels of the business.
- Passion for solving complex IP challenges and striving for continuous improvement and excellence.
