Site Execution Management Site Execution Management, Offshore APAC Offshore Construction
Oversees the set-up, safe and efficient operations of the lifting equipment, coordinating and supervising all lifting activities in accordance with regulations and is required to be present during all offshore lifting operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage all lifting operations, personnel and equipment on site
- Ensure all lifting equipment is checked and maintained
- Implement HSE procedures outlined for the project
- Ensure visual inspections are carried out
- Inspect equipment expiry dates and that certification is accurate
- Plan and manage all lifts on site as per risk assessments and method statements
- Report all incidents and complete all related documentation
- Ensure all Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to Complete all necessary documentation
- Conduct rigging and lifting activities
- Identify relevant cargo for transfer operations
- Inspect methods and techniques used for the safe rigging of cargo according to the lifting plan
- Ensure that crane operators conduct daily checks of their assigned lifting machines and appliances prior to the start of their work-shift
- Operate communications equipment and radio channels
- Operate technology or electronic tools and devices
- Perform basic risk assessment
- Perform cargo or material handling security procedures
- Perform safety and health risk assessment
- Perform Safety and Health activities to ensure personal compliance with requirements
- Prepare cargo for transfer operations
- Report incidents, when occurs
- Troubleshoot facilities, equipment, infrastructure and systems to determine malfunctions, damage and maintenance needs
- Use cargo lifting and rigging equipment
- Work with team members to support technology projects
- Apply methods and techniques to manage dangerous goods as well as the time and temperature sensitive cargo
- Check the validity of lifting machine certificate by Approved Person and maintenance inspection program
- Ensure that safe lifting procedures are in order for any lifting operation
- If unsafe conditions are reported, to take suitable measures to rectify the conditions so that the lifting operation can be conducted safely
- In any situation where immediate rectification cannot be done, ensure that all necessary measures are taken to make the situation and area safe before reporting to his supervisor
- Attend daily tool box meeting with supervisors and workers for effective consultation, communication and coordination before commencement of work
- Expected to work in rotating shifts and under time pressure
- Expected to work with internal stakeholders to accomplish his/her work
Qualifications
- HBO technical qualification in mechanical with focus on cargo handling, lifting plans and load analysis, Heavy Lift Rigger AB (STCW II/5) or Master (STCW II/3)
- Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment is preferred
- Proven working experience as a Rigger
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a marine or related industry
- Completed WSQ Rigging and Signalman course
- Completed Lifting Supervisors Safety course
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Current forklift license
- Good supervisory, communication skills
Competencies
- Experience managing installation teams, including contractors and subcontractors
- Effective communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and complete multiple tasks simultaneously
- Fluent in English and Mandarin is desired
- Extensive experience implementing large projects
- Offshore experience
- Documentation skills
- Dependability / trustworthy / reliable
- Attention to detail
- Positive & Progressive attitude
