Manager (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II) in the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref: 530337) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance).
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of post-qualification work experience in a supervisory role. They should be competent communicators with an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, and be meticulous in detail. They should also be able to work independently or as part of a team, multitasking under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Experience in programme management would be an advantage.
The appointee will provide a high level of administrative and secretarial support to the new strategic initiatives in teaching and learning, curriculum development, admission outreach, academic programme administration, committee servicing, and perform other duties as assigned. He/She should also play a versatile role in leading junior executive and clerical staff in supporting a full range of operational tasks. He/She must develop effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels and be familiar with the University's procedures and policies. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and/or written test.
