This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for strategic and operational activities to support various construction projects
- Lead and manage the quantity surveying team in all aspects of quantity surveying works
- Developstrong relationships with internal stakeholders, understanding their need and consulting with them to build quality procurement strategies aligned with business requirements
- Manage bidding and tendering activities for goods and services related to projects
- Responsible for supplier and contract negotiations which involve understanding and knowledge of commercials and competitive pricing for packages related to large commercial structures I building projects
- Ensure project purchases are made in a timely, flexible, accurate and cost effective way
- Manage and develop strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers, dealing with any potential issues and concerns, and attending regular meeting to ensure open communication
- Prepare project progress report on regular basis and communicate to Project stakeholders
- Management of claims, variation assessment and dispute handling
Requirements:
- Degree holder in Quantity Surveying / Construction Cost Management / Engineering or other related disciplines with at least 8 years of post-graduation experience in commercial / contract management of major multi- disciplinary construction projects, focused on procurement activities such as bidding and tendering, and commercial contracts negotiation, plus professional qualification of relevant disciplines gained from recognized professional bodies is required
- Possess track records of leading major projects
- Capable of working independently with strong interpersonal, analytical, supervisory and negotiation skills
- Flexible, highly motivated and proactive
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese with knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and project management software tools
- Holder of a valid HK driving license (Class 1, 2) is preferred
