PURPOSE
- Lead data product design team to provide business solutions in terms of user journey, product design and detail requirement analysis, mainly focusing on business modules
- Engage in project planning, such as budget, resource allocations and prepare the product roadmap.
- Be in charge of data products solution and devliery following defined roadmap with the Agile development process to meet project objectives and business goals
- Be responsible for tasks assignment, coaching, and training of team members to ensure the delivery with high efficiency and quality
- As one of key contributors, support the company to build up core competence and promote best practice across the company
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Responsible for managing data products throughout its development life cycle, including resources planning, customers expectation management, change management and risk assessment.
- Review current technology and drive ways to leverage and improve productivity
- Work with the technical development team, selecting right solutions for building the regional end-to-end sales platform.
- Work closely with delivery team members for delivering quality projects and services.
- Manage project execution, communicate project progress and issues to project stakeholders, including analytical reports, presentations and other documentations as necessary throughout the project delivery process.
- Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
- Maintain and measure the quality of project deliverables within defined and agreed project requirements.
TEAM MANAGEMENT
- Be responsible for documentation delivery arrangement within the team
- Manage the team to perform product design, development, testing, support and enhancement
- Promote team's morale and supervise the team to reach business goals
- Support to build up core competence regarding architecture.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
KPI within 3 years:
- Support to achieve 10x faster software delivery with Cloud CoE team.
KPI to enable Polaris strategy:
- Execute the Polaris strategy by respective initiatives to facilitate the digital and cloud-enabled transformations
- Increase the reusability of business solution and source code in the transformation process
- Improve better service availability for 24 x 7 support
KPI on daily basis:
- Increase the daily productivity using Agile development life cycle
- Reduce the lead time for bug fixing
Improve 100% test code coverage
Business indicators:
- Rollout AI/BI related applications to all countries/FWD Sessions.
Technical indicators:
- Projects Delivered on Budget: Tracking capacity to stay within budgets
- IT Support Employees per End Users: Ratio support employees vs end-users
- Project Delivery on schedule: The project can delvery on the schedule target date.
- Manage to meet the preset standard per the IT Service Level Agreement (SLA)
- Enforce IT standard to govern the project execution for FWD

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- University degree or higher in Computer Science or Finance related
- At least 5 years experience in IT industry with at least 2 years supervisory/ managerial experience with regional exposure on managing data projects/products across different countries
- 5 years of working experience in product design or project management
- Critical thinking and able to drive changes
- Strong leadership experience. Proven track records in managing regional-based Front-end systems, preferably experiences in implementing IT systems/projects to support Asian countries.
- Professional scrum master or PMP certificate is an advantage
- Experience with AWS/Azure Cloud is preferred
KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Strong insurance or finance knowledge, problem solving and analytical skills
- Solid knowledge and experience in data development, data reporting, and data governance, with a strong understanding of data platform technologies, tools, and standards.
- Proficient in Agile development approach
- Exemplify good interpersonal communication skills at all levels of business users, IT, partners and vendors
- Good command in both written & spoken English or Cantonese (Mandarin)
- Broad understanding of the technology industry, including current and emerging digital solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to deliver clear and compelling presentations and reports.
- Strong business acumen and product sense, with the ability to identify and prioritize user needs, market opportunities, and product value propositions.
- Passionate and curious about new technologies and innovations, with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic market environment.
