The Role:
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of quality for filters used in semiconductor manufacturing. You will work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to maintain and improve quality control systems, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and industry standards. You will also lead efforts in identifying and resolving product quality issues, conducting inspections, and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives.
In this role you will:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes for filter products used in semiconductor applications and review process control plan for compliance and adequacy.
- Perform root cause analysis and lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality-related issues.
- Involve in problem analysis and problem-solving real time to drive corrective actions and verify effective implementation on critical product parameters.
- Handling of non-conforming products - coordinate all on hold activities ensure no escapee to customer during quality crises/issues and line purge. Work with production/Engineering for effective evaluation of non-NC product to ensure appropriate disposition.
- Involve in 8-D or response to customer and meet customer's turnaround time or response time.
- Drive quality to reduction of complaints from customer and track quality performance to meet yearly objective/goals (DPPM).
- Constantly use or apply statistical techniques in data analysis during troubleshooting or problem solving.
- Contribute to statistical process control for critical process parameters or product parameters selection of charts, calculation of control limits, SPC rules, triggering rules and reaction guides.
- Contribute to control system improvements besides product critical parameters to enhance process control and quality issues detection. Check monitoring parameters triggering system and reaction guides/flow for adequacy and effectiveness.
- Involve in all qualification activities related to the product new or change in process, design, materials, tooling etc.
- Establish qualification requirements with production, product management and related department prior to qualification.
- Review qualification data to ensure it meets internal and external requirements.
- Support customer audits and ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth production workflows, adherence to quality standards, and consistency in product output.
- Maintain documentation of quality assurance activities, including inspection results, test reports, and compliance records.
Traits we believe make a strong candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in quality assurance or quality engineering, preferably in the semiconductor or filtration industries.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or similar certifications).
- Proficient in quality control tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA, 8D, MSA, root cause analysis, CAPA).
- Experience with inspection and testing equipment, including microscopes, particle counters, and other quality assurance instruments.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to propose improvements pr solutions to business / quality processes having positive impact to our customers.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Familiarity with cleanroom environments and contamination control practices.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis software and data interpretation.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus.
