Job Description
- Drive the medical strategy for the Taiwan Pharma team, providing essential insights and guidance to the Product Squads and cross-functional teams including Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, and Clinical Development.
- Serve as the Medical function's representative within the assigned Product Squads, ensuring all activities meet the highest standards of compliance. Stay ahead of emerging trends in medical affairs, evidence generation, and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decision-making.
- Proactively identify key data gaps and collaborate with internal teams to develop robust evidence-generation plans. Support the creation and execution of publication plans, scientific communication strategies, and external scientific collaborations.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with both local and global Thought Leaders (TLs), guiding Investigator Initiated Research (IIR) discussions and overseeing the execution of related research activities.
- Contribute to the development of strategic plans for product launches, ensuring alignment between medical, clinical, and commercial objectives.
- Assist in the continuous enhancement of the Medical Affairs function by helping to optimize processes, improve employee engagement, and track performance against established medical metrics and KPIs.

The Successful Applicant
- An MD, PhD, PharmD, or MSc in life sciences or a related field.
- At least 5-10 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry or clinical settings, with a strong focus on medical affairs and leadership within a cross-functional team.
- A demonstrated track record of leading the development and execution of medical strategies in complex, cross-functional settings.
- Deep understanding of local and global regulatory requirements (including IRPMA) and the ability to maintain high compliance standards in all medical activities.
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex scientific and medical concepts effectively to a range of stakeholders, including internal teams, regulators, and external thought leaders.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, emerging healthcare trends, and the strategic drivers that impact the business.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and hold yourself and others accountable to drive shared objectives.
- A proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to changing circumstances and evolving business needs.
