Part-time Phlebotomist (at the rank of Laboratory Assistant) in the School of Public Health(Ref: 530063) (to commence as soon as possible for 6 months to 1 year on temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should be a registered phlebotomist in Hong Kong, preferably with at least 1 year experience in phlebotomy. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese), and good interpersonal and communication skills. Applicants should also be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
The appointee will assist in the Hong Kong Elderly Biobank research project.He/She will be responsible for collecting blood samples from study participants in community health centres across 18 districts in Hong Kong. Experience in performing venepuncture on elderly is highly preferred. He/She will be expected to work during daytime (morning and afternoon) on weekdays for no more than 20 hours per week, and work outside normal office hours or on weekends will be required if necessary.
