Job Summary
We are seeking an Associate Power Supply Engineer to join the Power Solutions group who can assist in Product development, testing and product debugging. This individual will be required to work cross-department and assist Research and Development Engineers and product managers as needed in product development tasks.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The job responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Perform power supply testing, prototype modification, computer system and power supply characteristics testing as instructed
- System level and power supply level troubleshooting
- Review and perform power supply failure analysis with report
- Work with cross-functional teams for system testing and assist in product development
- Operate system and power supply testing equipment and oscilloscopes
- Generate test report and record the complete test process, configuration, findings, waveforms, and results
- Modify power supply prototypes as instructed and soldering duties will be involved
- Perform product thermal testing as instructed and operate thermal chamber
Qualifications
- BS degree in Engineering with 1 to 2 years of power supply engineering experience or similiar field is desirable
- Knowledge of PC, system and server operation is preferred
- Must have strong troubleshooting skills
- Familiar with Microsoft Office and be able to generate test report is a huge plus
- Experience and basic knowledge of computer and server hardware and architecture
- Experience with power supply or server system
- Experience with I2C, SPI, communication protocol is a plus
- Familiar with using oscilloscope is preferred
- Strong attention to detail, including accuracy and thoroughness
- Must have solid communications skills both verbal and written
- Electronics, digital and components knowledge background is desired
- Able to work independently and be a good team player
