This position will be accountable for product specialist related activities for selected investment capabilities of Principal Asset Management in Asia Pacific and the Middle East. The scope of the role will include global and local product vehicles, investment mandates and advisory solutions. This incumbent will support the Fixed Income & Multi-Asset Product Specialist in the region to promote and position selected products across asset classes, leveraging a deep knowledge of Principal's investment process, philosophy, product set and key differentiation to actively support Go to Market teams. He/she will uphold a deep understanding of client needs and competitive dynamics in all the markets Principal Asset Management operates in Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
Main Responsibilities:
- Represent Principal Asset Management's investment capabilities and serve as one of the key resources for Go to Market teams. Retain a deep understanding of all investment activity to represent this externally to clients through client engagement and internally with Go to Market teams. Client engagement inclusive (but limited to) existing client updates, product pitches, client due diligence, asset class overviews, RFP submission support and any additional client related activities. Knowledge and expertise focused (but not limited to) investment process/philosophy, portfolios under management, portfolio positioning, investment team outlook and investment team personnel.
- Drive and lead product positioning. Work closely with sales, marketing and portfolio management team in positioning products across different asset classes for multiple channels. Support product launches through involvement in planning and execution, coordinating relevant activities and developing product content. Lead the creation of and continue to improve relevant messages/ talking points to support product positioning against market backdrop and key competitors. Produce timely and relevant content for internal update and external proposition.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and partners, inclusive but not limited to investment teams, Go to Market teams, marketing, and product strategy and development teams across Asia, regionally and locally.
- Participate in development and implementation of product strategy at both a local and regional product vehicle level, inclusive of the identification of client needs, industry trends and expansion of product solutions.
