Job Description

Responsibilities

Financial Strategy and Planning

Develop and implement the overall financial strategy including funding of financial commitments and risk management
Oversee financial planning and analysis to optimise the project's funding and financial position
Drive financial decision-making processes so that decisions align with project objectives

Project Development

Drive projects toward construction phase by managing financial aspects of the project through development phase
Coordinate with the project team to ensure seamless progress from development through to construction and O&M

Project Financing

Drive the process to secure project finance for an offshore wind project
Develop and manage relationships with financing parties including banks, export credit agencies, and institutional investors
Manage sponsor and lender advisers including financial, legal, technical and other due diligence advisors throughout the due diligence process
Coordinate activities and ensure effective communication between the project team, advisors and financing parties

Financial Modeling

Oversee the development and maintenance of sophisticated financial models to assess project viability, returns, and potential risks
Conduct in-depth financial analyses, including sensitivity analyses and scenario planning

Risk Management

Develop and implement robust risk management strategies for project development and financing
Collaborate with teams in the project to identify, mitigate and manage financial risks

Stakeholder Engagement

Engage with key stakeholders, including investors, board members, and regulatory authorities as required
Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations

Team Leadership

Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
Provide guidance and support to team members

Reporting and Internal Approval Process

Prepare and deliver comprehensive presentations to senior management, board members, and external stakeholders
Effectively communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner

Legal and Regulatory Compliance

Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements during all phases of the project

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Chartered Accountant, CPA or CFA designation preferred
Proven experience in project finance with a focus on offshore wind farms
Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully leading finance teams
Highly numerate with extensive experience in financial modeling and analysis, including risk assessment
In-depth knowledge of finance, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance
High attention to detail
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail, good work ethic and a team player
Fluency in English; ability to speak Chinese is a plus
