Client: International Data Center Operator with a strong presence in APAC.
Location: Taipei, Taiwan
Brief: Seeking a Project Manager experienced in data center project development and construction. The suitable candidate will be responsible for on-site progress, quality, safety control, and management of the entire development and construction project process.
Progress Control
- Review construction schedule, mobilization plan for workforce, materials and equipment resources plan, and assess the feasibility of the resource plan against method statement and site layout plan.
- Monitor project progress and provide real-time management, analyze project delays, propose remedial measures and schemes, and maintain project progress control records.
- Track project progress, review project progress reports, and verify progress payment certifications.
Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC)
- Familiar with M&E design codes, technical specifications, inspection acceptance standards, and possess the ability to perform basic quality checks of CSA work.
- Review site quality assurance systems, M&E design drawings, construction organization plans, method statements, technical plans, inspection and testing schemes, etc.
- Visit and examine equipment/material suppliers and witness factory acceptance tests.
- Check sealing samples, factory certificates, inspection and testing reports, conduct sampling inspections, witness sampling, testing, and finished product protection measures, and ensure warranty coverage.
- Supervise site construction quality, including inspection and acceptance of concealed works, process handover inspection, and key parts and process supervision.
- Draft project defect reports.
Safety Management
- Participate in establishing and improving safe production and civilized construction management systems, including implementing the company's health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Audit the construction safety plan, supervise the implementation of safety measures, check on-site safety production and civilized construction, promptly resolve identified issues, and maintain a good safety monitoring record.
- Participate in joint design drawing reviews, MEP design clarification, review MEP design changes, variation orders, and as-built drawings.
- Review actual work completion and verify work quantities for variation orders used to certify progress payments.
- Chair regular site meetings, draft meeting minutes, and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Participate in testing and commissioning, completion acceptance inspections at all project stages, review the accuracy and completeness of project completion documents, and be responsible for document handover.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above
- Proficiency in English is preferred
- 10 years or more experience in the related industry
- Ability to work independently, strong responsibility, good communication skills, and the capability to work under pressure
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD
