JOB DESCRIPTION
General Purpose:
- Develop, lead, and execute purchasing processes and systems.
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that procurement activities support the company's strategic goals and objectives. Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
- Implement best practices and streamline processes to reduce process time and increase efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of new processes.
Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Process Optimization:
- Streamline and optimize the purchasing process for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement procurement software and tools to enhance automation and tracking.
- Develop and enforce procurement policies and procedures. Also ensure stakeholders our properly trained.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with various departments, such as finance, planning, andlogistic, to understand their procurement needs.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of goods and service
- Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate potential risks related to procurement activities for responsible area.
- Develop and implement contingency plans to address disruptions in the supply chain.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize data analytics to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and assess procurement performance.
- Generate regular reports for management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Stay informed about changes in regulations affecting procurement and adjust practices accordingly.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Experience with data analysis and reporting metrics.
- Experience using procurement software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as Oracle or SAP.
- Strong computer skills, especially proficiency in MS Office/Excel.
- Strong analytical mindset, with demonstrated experience translating data insights into actions to drive results towards operational KPIs.
- Ability to manage your time and adapt to changing priorities, work on multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, meet quick deadlines, and produce timely and quality work products.
- Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Bachelors degree with 5+ years of procurement experience.
