The appointees will join a laboratory led by Professor Malik Peiris and Professor Leo Poon researching on influenza, SARS-CoV-2, MERS, and other emerging viral infections. It is aWHO reference laboratory for H5 influenza viruses and SARS-CoV-2 diagnostics. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, inaddition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointments on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to10% of basic salary.
