Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Pathology, School of Clinical Medicine(several posts)(Ref.: 530557) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.)
Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree, preferably a M.Phil or Master's degree, in biological science, biomedical sciences or related disciplines. Experience in laboratory work, molecular biology and bioinformatics analysis would be a strong advantage. They should have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese) and good communication and interpersonal skills. They should be organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team. The appointee will participate in research projects related to bone and soft tissue pathology. He/She will assist in handling clinical samples (e.g. FFPE tissue, blood), perform library preparation for next-generation sequencing, as well as help multi-omics and circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA) analysis.Enquiries about the duties of the post should be sent to Dr. Maximus Yeung at .
