Position Information
Retail Sales Manager plays a vital role in the development and implementation of growth-oriented sales strategies, tactics, and action plans for the entire retail business in Taiwan. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing these strategies to meet and exceed financial targets.
The primary duties of the Retail Sales Manager include achieving annual sales targets, fostering strong relationships with retailers, staying informed about the latest trends and circumstances in the retail industry, motivating team members to enhance their performance, productivity, morale, and retention.
Position Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies: Collaborate with senior management to devise comprehensive sales strategies that align with the company's objectives and market conditions in Taiwan. Continuously evaluate and refine these strategies to ensure maximum effectiveness.
- Drive sales performance: Take ownership of achieving annual sales targets by closely monitoring sales metrics, analyzing market trends, and identifying opportunities for growth. Utilize available data and insights to create action plans and drive sales performance across the retail business.
- Build and maintain retailer relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with key retailers in Taiwan. Collaborate closely with them to understand their needs, address any concerns, and identify opportunities for mutual growth. Act as the main point of contact for retailers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
- Stay informed about retail trends: Stay updated on the latest trends, consumer demands, and market dynamics in the retail industry in Taiwan. Monitor competitor activities and industry changes to identify potential risks or opportunities. Leverage this knowledge to make informed decisions and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Motivate and lead the sales team: Inspire and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve their individual and collective targets. Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members, ensuring they have the necessary resources and tools to excel. Foster a positive work environment that promotes high performance, productivity, and employee retention.
- Performance evaluation and reporting: Regularly evaluate the performance of the sales team against set targets and provide constructive feedback. Generate comprehensive reports on sales activities, trends, and results to senior management, highlighting areas of success and identifying areas for improvement.
Position Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales management within the retail industry, preferably in international beauty and cosmetics brands.
- Strong understanding of the retail market in Taiwan, including current trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with retailers & internal departments.
- Leadership abilities to motivate and inspire a sales team.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make data-driven decisions.
- Proactive and result-oriented approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Fluency in both spoken and written Chinese, coupled with a solid command of English, is considered advantageous.
