Senior Android Developer

Positive Grid is devoted to creating cutting-edge technologies to revolutionize the worlds music production. We are looking for an experienced Android developer to join the mobile Team to develop video/audio features for Spark, BIAS, and other music product in the future. You will have the opportunity to run design sprint with UX designer for POC product, system design for common module for different projects, and building CI/CD working process for the mobile team.

Typical Accountabilities

Collaborating with the engineering, design, and PM team on music/IoT prototype development.

Design and innovate architecture and core functions for Spark Android app and other music service in the future.

Troubleshoot and solve challenging technical issues.

Projecting the effort and timeframes of projects, as well as creating work schedules and setting deadlines.

Stay up to date with new mobile technology trends, applications, and protocols.

Performing quality control and resolving structural design and other issues throughout the implementation stages.

Cooperate with DSP/ML engineers to integrate DSP/ML library

Essential

5 years of experience in Android development.

5+ years experience working with Kotlin, Java, and JNI.

2+ years of experience architecting and designing (architecture, design patterns, multithreading, memory management.

Familiar with TCP/UDP, RESTful API, MVVM, and CI/CD process.

Desirable

Great passion for the guitar music industry is a plus.

Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or related field.

Experience on audio/video programming or audio plugin development

Experience in BLE, unit testing, and C++ library integration.

Ability to mentor junior software developers, as well as to collaborate with all stakeholders
