Job Description

Role Overview

Synera Renewable Energy (SRE) is a leading renewable energy developer in Taiwan, with a pipeline of offshore wind projects across Taiwan and other parts of Asia. SRE is a portfolio company of a fund managed by Stonepeak, a US-based infrastructure fund with regional headquarter in Hong Kong.

In the role as Sr. FP&A analyst, you will be responsible for re-engineering the budgeting and forecasting process, supporting the budgeting system upgrade for the SRE Group as well as managing all shareholders enquiries and reporting requirements. The position is based in Taipei, Taiwan.

Key Responsibilities

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Support the annual budgeting process, collaborating with various departments to gather inputs and set financial targets.
  • Prepare and update quarterly financials / forecasts, analyzing variances and providing variance explanation and recommendations for adjustments.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support long-term planning and scenario analysis.

Financial Analysis And Reporting

  • Analyze financial performance, identifying trends and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate financial data and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Shareholder Inquiries

  • Oversee the reporting of company assets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Handle inquiries from shareholders, preparing detailed financial reports and presentations.
  • Communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
  • Provide insights and answers to questions regarding company performance, financial results, and strategic plans.
  • Track new project spending, prepare relevant reports and manage ad hoc inquiries.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in FP&A, with a focus on budgeting and forecasting and monthly reporting.
  • Experience handling shareholder inquiries and communicating financial information to stakeholders.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion, Adaptive Insights).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing financial issues.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
